Instructions for Examine Pro Integration
MouthWatch cameras easily integrate with Examine Pro imaging software. Use the MouthWatch camera to capture images of the patient and store them directly into the patient record.
Step 1 – Plug in the MouthWatch Camera
Make sure you plug the USB connector into a powered USB port. These are typically located on the front or back of the computer. USB ports on monitors or passive hubs may not be powered.
If setting up a MouthWatch Plus+, use a USB 3.0 port.
Step 2 – Configure Examine Pro Preferences
From the Video Still Capture options screen within Imaging, click Advanced Setup and select USB Video Device.
Next, click the Expert Setup tab and make sure Video Format Compatibility is checked.
Then, click the Misc. tab to configure the capture button options.
- Ensure Search for Still Capture Pin is checked.
- Ensure Search for Em28xx is checked.
Click Save and then Exit. You should now see a live preview from the MouthWatch camera.
Step 3 – Capture Images
Once the live video preview is visible, each press of the capture button on the MouthWatch camera will freeze and save an image directly into the patient record.
All Set!
Examine Pro is now configured and ready to use with your MouthWatch intraoral camera.
