If your camera is not being detected by the MouthWatch Capture software or your imaging software it could be due to the camera privacy settings in Windows blocking the use of cameras or a connection issue.
Method 1 - Camera Privacy Settings
Select Start > Settings > Privacy > Camera. In Allow access to the camera on this device, select Change and make sure Camera access for this device is turned on. This setting lets any user on the device choose if they want apps to be able to access the camera.
Note: If you can't change the Camera access setting, you'll need an administrator on the device to turn it on for you.
Note: After turning the camera privacy setting on you may need to unplug the MouthWatch Camera and then plug it back in.
Method 2 - Check Connections
Identify the setup
Check whether the camera is connected through a USB hub, docking station, or an extension cable.Remove extra connections
Unplug the camera from any hub, dock, or extension cable.Connect directly to the computer
Plug the camera straight into a USB port on the computer. On desktops, use a USB port on the tower, preferably on the back.
On laptops, use a built-in USB port on the device.
Test the camera
Open your imaging software and see if the camera is detected.Try another USB port if needed
If it is still not detected, move the camera to a different USB port and test again.
Note: If you must use a USB hub, use a powered hub with its own AC adapter.
